Certified Supply Chain Analyst: Review and Certification Exam - 11/15/08  

A 4 hour review session for the Certified Supply Chain Analyst (CSCA) program will be held in Fort Collins on the CSU campus. Participants will then have 2 hours to take the CSCA exam.

Certified Supply Chain Professional: Exam Preparation Course - 9/30/08 to 12/09/08  

A 11 week exam preparation course for the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) program will be held in Longmont. The course will run from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM every Tuesday. The CSCP program has 4 modules:

  1. Supply Chain Management Fundamentals
  2. Building Competitive Operations, Planning, and Logistics
  3. Managing Customer and Supplier Relationships
  4. Using Information Technology to enable Supply Chain Management

All modules will be covered in this comprehensive review course.

Certified Lean Master: A complete package running from 10/8/08 to 12/19/08  

A multi-session program for the Certified Lean Master program will be held at the Vista Ridge Golf Club in Erie. This program involves a complete package of education and coaching on the implementation of lean supply chains. You will work to improve one value stream at your organization as part of the program; the result will be quantifiable improvements for your organization and personal recognition as a Certified Lean Master.

The program has three educational sessions of three days each with a four week break between sessions so you can apply the knowledge to your lean initiative and begin seeing immediate results. The sessions are:

  • October 8, 9, and 10: Crafting a lean initiative and value stream mapping
  • November 12, 13, and 14: Creating flow and leveraging pull
  • December 17, 18, and 19: Lean supply chains and the CLM exam
  • All days will run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • Strategic Buyer, Transportation & Logistics  (Brighton, CO): Individual will negotiate all the incoming transportation contracts with freight haulers/railroads.
  • Strategic Buyers, Indirect Purchases:  Responsible for negotiating all the Nacelle factory indirect purchases.
  • Strategic Buyer, Capex: Responsible for purchasing equipment, machinery and any other good that will be capitalized.
  • Customs Clearance Specialist:  Responsible for the administration of requests and documents production for clearing all customs of incoming product and equipment.

These jobs pay in the $50K-$70K range with 4 weeks of vacation per year.  We pay 100% of medical, prescription, dental, vision premiums for employee and family.  We also pay 100% of premium for life, STD and LTD. 

In addition, the following positions will be filled in Q1 of 2009. Interviews are expected to begin for these positions in November.

The 2008 Colorado RFID Expo

CSU Student Chapter CSCA Certificate Presentation

We had a GREAT APICS and ISCEA event/presentation on May 7 at CSU.

Doug Klapperich, CEO, APICS NOCO, was on campus to provide a brief update/presentation on APICS-NOCO and to present the 17 CSU CSCA recipients with their Certificates last night. The students really felt good about earning their certificates and excited about how being a CSCA will bolster their Value Proposition to potential employers as they enter the workforce.

Doug was very proud to represent APICS-NOCO and ISCEA and proud to see the excitement from the students on earning their CSCA designation.
